Lore

Ah, summer of 2022—a time when the air is warm, friendships are strong, and plans are... well, often nonexistent. You know those nights where everyone gathers at a buddy's house with no clear plan in sight? Yep, it was one of those nights.

After much deliberation, we decided to break away from multiple conversations and our usual go-to Jackbox games. Instead, we craved something different—something to bring us all together. The quest began: "Chase, hit the shelf and see what you've got!"

One by one, the usual suspects emerged: Catan, Uno, Coup, Apples to Apples. Yet, none of these classics seemed to ignite the spark we were looking for.

Then, like a beacon in the night, Chase held up one more game. "How about The National Geographic Dinosaur Card Game?"

"The what?" we all echoed in unison.

"The National Geographic Dinosaur Card Game. It has three different games!"

"Absolutely," we agreed, our curiosity piqued.

As we opened the battered old box, out fell not only the promise of the greatest card game ever but also a... dead bee?!

"What the hell? There's a dead bee in here!" Chase exclaimed, and we all burst into confused laughter.

Amid the chaos, we discovered the three game options: Dino Search, Dino Attack, and Go Dino. One game stood out, destined to change our lives forever.

"Let's try Go Dino."

And so, the legend was born. That night was filled with the joyous shouts of "GO DINO!" and the hilariously suggestive queries of "Do you have any Stiffened Reptiles?"—phrases only our group could find so humorously entertaining.

From that fateful evening onward, this quirky game from 2003 became a cherished part of our lives. It brought us endless joy and laughter, giving new life to an old treasure. Our new evolution of this game stands as a tribute to the original creators and a testament to the simple, unadulterated fun that we, as grown men, find indispensable.
